Pacific Northwest fine artist and photographer, Anna Porter is pleased to announce that Positive Energy, an original work of abstract expressionist art created by the artist to commemorate the Women's March on Washington: Portland, held on January 21, 2017 in Portland, Oregon, is now available for purchase HERE on the artist's website.
Inspired by the fellowship of the people participating in the Portland Women's March on January 21, 2017, Anna Porter decided to create a commemorative work of art from a double exposure photograph that she captured, as she and tens of thousands of fellow marchers, walked under the Hawthorne Bridge on Naito Parkway in downtown Portland, Oregon. There, musicians were playing and chanting to support the marchers, many of whom had waited patiently for up to two hours in the pouring rain on a cold January day for the march to begin. The image captures the spirit of fellowship, determination, and positive energy that the artist felt in the community on that day, and that she experienced under the bridge. The original photograph was edited in TangledFx and Aviary to create the finished digital image.
